Supporting our local community

Our students and faculty did a fantastic job representing osteopathy and the ESO at the Heart of Kent Hospice 25km charity walk in October. Around one hundred walkers took part and over a third chose to finish their day with a free leg massage. Feedback from students, walkers and event organisers was incredibly positive – so much so, the Hospice have asked us to support all their events in 2017.  Our Yr3 student volunteers were especially appreciative of the additional hands-on experience the event gave them as they started their formal clinical training.

ESO faculty have also been providing talks and workshops to local carer organisations as part of this year’s Back Care Awareness Week campaign, ‘Caring for Carers’ plus we’ve been doing our bit on behalf of charity.  You can find out more and keep up with all the latest news and events by following our social media channels.
