My close relationship with the ESO started from its establishment in 1974. In the early days I was a Clinic Tutor and taught a diverse range of osteopathic subjects. In 1988 I was approached and accepted to become a Trustee of the ESO. I then was appointed Chairman in the years that followed.
Over the years I have been heavily involved in the development and management of the Osteopathic profession in the UK; of particular note I was involved in helping the osteopathic profession achieve Statutory Regulation in the UK.
I was appointed a member of the first General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and chaired the committee that was responsible for writing the profession’s Code of Ethics and its Fitness to Practice Regulations. I was a member of its Professional Conduct Committee and Chaired the GOsC’s Ethics Committee.
I was also appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the ESO and I am a Member of The Independent Monitoring Board at HMP/YOI Lewes.
In my spare time I enjoy sailing, working on my boat, walking the South Downs and spending time with my wife and family.
