Inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals

ESO faculty have been helping inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals!

Head of Research & Professional Development, Dr Philip Bright, supervised four students undertaking their Nuffield Future Researchers placements over the summer. The aim of this programme was to connect bright and interested students with STEM knowledge professionals. Dr Bright guided his students through a series of activities to give them a taste of working in healthcare research. The ESO’s participation was arranged through Sussex STEM – find out more on their Facebook page here.

Clinic Tutor and Ambassador, Robert Thomas, has also been working to inspire school aged pupils, in association with the Institute of Osteopathy and a South East academies trust. The team have been bringing science to life through engaging video content and real-life scenarios for school workbooks – linking theory to osteopathic practice.

We’re always happy to hear from those interested in inspiring future osteopaths. If you’re an ESO Alumnus and you’d like to know more visit our website www.eso.ac.uk/alumni. Our Admissions team are also happy to speak to careers advisors about support for events. If this would be of interest please email admissions@eso.ac.uk or call 01622 671 558.
