Course overview

This is the second of two courses reviewing osteopathic technique, from articulation to HVT. This is a predominantly practical course with the majority of time spent practising techniques and gaining confidence in each approach.

The course will begin with a theory element covering the safety implications of techniques, for example red flags and gaining consent for specific techniques and adjustments; we will then cover the latest research on how techniques work and how effective they are, followed by a review of anatomy for the specific areas, to gain an understanding of what we are effecting. The course will then move on to practical techniques and adjustments, demonstrating HVT of the cervical spine, pelvis and sacroiliac joints whilst also reviewing the spinal adjustments.

  • Saturday – AM: Theory,  PM: SIJ technique & cervical techniques
  • Sunday – AM: Pelvis techniques,  PM: Review of techniques

This course may be attended independently of the first course and is suitable for Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and Chiropractors
