ESO Rising Star of 2020

ESO Rising Star of 2020

Many congratulations to Loïc Platteau, the ESO Rising Star of 2020.

Loïc, who is now practising back in his home country of Belgium, will be officially presented with the award at the Institute of Osteopathy’s virtual AGM, taking place this evening.

We asked Loïc about the award and what he has been doing since graduating.

“This is something which means a lot to me as I have been very dedicated to my studies from the very first moment. To see my passion being translated into a prize, is only something I could ever dream of.

“Since graduating, I’ve been working in three different practices, seeing a good range of patients and gaining a lot of experience. I really feel that we had a very good education at ESO, especially with functional and cranial, and the clinic hours really prepared me well to go straight into practice. We never stop learning as osteopaths as it is a journey which we are all on. I can guarantee you, it is one of the most exciting journeys I’ll ever be on.

A massive thank you to the ESO for providing me with an excellent education and for giving me the opportunity to grow and to start my career as an osteopath”

We also asked Ceira Kinch, Dean of Academic Studies, what made Loic stand out as the ESO Rising Star.

“Loïc was able to combine his excellent clinical and technical skills with osteopathic curiosity to develop into a well-rounded practitioner.  He was a delight to work with and never wavered in his professionalism.  We are in no doubt that Loïc will have a very fulfilling osteopathic career ahead of him and hope that one day he may come back to the ESO to pass on his skills to the next generation of osteopaths.”

Congratulations again Loic!
