Balance & Exercise classes

Our Balance & Stability and Physical Activity classes aim to improve your physical and mental health

Prior booking essential – please email rehabilitation@eso.ac.uk to ensure this class is suitable for your needs and to check availability

These small group classes are designed for those recovering from Stroke, Parkinson’s patients or those with a history of falls, who are keen to take part in an exercise class with a strong focus on their balance. Classes are run by a qualified instructor.

Classes are suitable for people who have attended an organised exercise class before, who can walk unaided and would like to maintain activity that can promote better balance.

As part of the class, we look to record progress using questionnaires and measures around balance and stability, so you can keep track on how you are doing. Please feel free to encourage others you feel may benefit from this class to enquire, and pass on the details to anyone you think would be interested.

Where:  Ordinarily at the ESO’s Boxley House campus but may be delivered online, subject to current COVID restrictions.
