COVID-19 – Community Support

Important: Please follow NHS advice. You can find up-to-date information about COVID-19, its symptoms and how you can avoid catching and spreading the virus on the NHS website.

The ESO is offering a helping hand, by sharing information online and by providing individual support to patients through our teaching clinic. To contact the ESO Clinic team please use our online contact form or email Clinic Admin Manager, Tamara Jappie at tamarajappie@eso.ac.uk; a member of the team will respond as soon as they’re able. An answerphone service is also available, which is monitored on a bi-weekly basis – call 01622 685989 – if leaving a telephone message please provide your name and contact details and speak slowly and clearly. Musculo-skeletal advice may also be arranged via video/telephone consultation with an ESO osteopathic tutor.  Please note, face-to-face consultations are not available at this time.

Arthritis Action- Keeping Active
The Arthritis Action website has a series of online animated exercises people can follow. The majority of these are seated and do not require any other equipment apart from a chair.

A message from Clinic Partners, Involve Kent
Our Safe and Well telephone service is open to our clients, patients at GP practices and anyone in the wider community who could benefit. Members of our team will be offering daily or weekly phone calls, which will be determined by a short telephone assessment. The service will be available to those living in Maidstone, Tonbridge & Malling, Borough Green, the Weald, Tunbridge Wells, Dover and Folkestone. Please get in touch to see if you or someone you know would be eligible. Where we are not able to provide the service we will signpost to an organisation local to you.

If you would like to refer someone, please call us 0300 0810005 or email office@involvekent.org.uk. Please note, most of our staff are working at home, as per the guidance, and we have been very busy setting up this service and receiving referrals. If it takes a little longer to get through on the phone, please do be patient, keep trying, or leave us a message with all the info we need to make contact. Our staff at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals working in the Integrated Discharge Teams are still on site, and our Community Navigators are still home visiting to complete urgent assessments for community equipment, until we are advised otherwise.
