I’d been experiencing pelvic pain for about a year after my pregnancy, which I found quite debilitating. It was really helpful to talk about my symptoms and reassuring to know something could be done to help. There was a really good rapport between my student and tutor with lots of hands-on guidance – after 4 sessions the pain had gone!
AJWomen's Health clinic patient
Our Women’s Health osteopathic clinic is led by senior clinic tutor Michael Pye. Mr Pye graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in 1995 and has been in clinical practice ever since while also teaching extensively nationally and internationally. He is also the ESO course leader for General Osteopathic Treatment.
Mr Pye studied at post graduate level to further his skill and experience in this field and was fortunate to have been mentored by Professor Molinari, a world leader and pioneer in this field; he was among the graduates of the first women’s health post graduate osteopathy course where he gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Women’s Health and was awarded a Fellowship of the Molinari Institute of Health – you can find more information about the Diploma on the MIH website. He now teaches for the Molinari Institute as well as teaching at the ESO.
Mr Pye has been a senior clinician in the MIH Clinic for Women’s Health, which has been running for nearly four years. This clinic has provided advice and relief for women suffering from a wide variety of complaints. We are now offering a women’s health clinic at the ESO with the same expertise to extend this service to more women as well as an introductory training for our undergraduate students in this exciting field of care.
Women’s Health Clinic appointments are available on Thursday evenings only – treatment fees can be found via the following link. To book an appointment or for further information please call 01622 685989.
