The main role of the Student Union (ESOSU) is to organise social events and make the student experience at the ESO as enjoyable as possible. Our aim is to provide some much needed relief to a busy course and create opportunities for students of all years (especially new ones) to interact at parties such as the "Open Mic Night" in town. The ESO also has its own temorary bar which is run by the students for other events throughout the term, including the Fresher's party.

Our seconday role is to facilitate communication between students and staff. We provide channels for student feedback and offer support to individuals or groups of students where necessary. The ESOSU represents the views of the student body to the Management Team during decision making processes and changes in protocol. Working with the cooperation of the faculty the ESOSU hopes to continue to improve the student experience at the ESO and make the four years of study as enjoyable and memorable as possible.
