Osteopathy has evolved and is still evolving. The fundamentals remain the same, however – balance, biomechanics, blood and lymph flow, fascia, forces and fundamental principles underpinning parameters.
In our undergraduate research department we have a range of equipment for measuring, recording and analysing different aspects of anatomical and physiological, such as:
- Goniometers for measuring peripheral and spinal joint movement
- Doppler ultrasound for assessing blood flow
- Ergonomic equipment for biomechanic measurements
- Force platform for studies of balance and gait
- Dynamometers for measuring forces
