The ESO Postgraduate Department
offers a wide-ranging selection of seminars aimed at providing
'intelligent osteopathy' by exploring its perimeters and interrelations
with other disciplines. We also aim to facilitate the updating
of skills. Each day attended counts towards CPD –
a certificate is given to all those attending.
The objectives of the programme are: (this list is by no means
exhaustive)
- To provide a formal framework for continuing professional
development
- To enhance the scientific knowledge and skills of individual
osteopaths for their personal and professional development
- To advance understanding of the underlying principles, procedures
and practices of Osteopathy
- To establish good educational practices in the teaching and
clinical environment in the postgraduate study of Osteopathy
and enable teachers of Osteopathy to formalise their skills
and knowledge.
The programmes offered have proved extremely popular and the
school has gained a high reputation within the profession for
the quality of its postgraduate seminars. The larger events
always involve speakers who are leaders in their fields. Most
seminars usually include an element of supervised practical
work.
Details of all forthcoming postgraduate events are available on our Event Calendar.
