  International Applicants

The ESO is recognised globally as a leading osteopathic institution. We pride ourselves on the breadth of our undergraduate programme, preparing graduates for a fulfilling and rewarding career as an independent healthcare practitioner.

Highly Trusted Sponsor Licence

The ESO holds a Highly Trusted Sponsor Licence, which enables us to issue International students with a Confirmation of Acceptance Studies (CAS) – a unique reference number that you will need to help you obtain your UK entry visa under the TIER 4 (General) Points Based System (PBS).  To find out if you need a visa and how to apply visit: www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/studying/adult-students/. You will see that you will need to provide evidence that you have enough money to cover your tuition fees.

Tuition Fees for 2012

The tuition fees for International students for the academic Year 2012/13 are £9850. A 5% discount is available for those who pay course fees, in full, at the time of registration.  Of course, along with being able to pay for your course, you will need money to support yourself during your studies.  The UK Council for International Student Affairs http://www.ukcisa.org.uk/ will give you an idea of general living costs and lots of other useful information to help you prepare for life as a student in the UK.

Deposit

The ESO will assign a CAS to applicants who have successfully completed the application cycle and have paid a deposit of £3000. The deposit acts as part of the annual tuition fee and the amount payable at the time of registration will be reduced accordingly.  The deposit is only refundable where the applicant provides evidence that the application for a student visa was not accepted for the year the academic offer was made.

Payment of tuition fees

The ESO is a Partner College of The University of Greenwich and course fees are payable directly to them at the time of registration. This is an on-line process which takes place between the end of August and mid-September of each year. You will be given a summary of your tuition fees, which will show the amount payable once your deposit and any discounts you are eligible for have been deducted.   You will be able to pay your tuition fees by credit or debit card or by bank transfer. Prospective students will receive comprehensive information about the payment process once they have formally accepted an offer for a place on the course through UCAS.

Financial sponsors

You cannot be admitted as a registered student of the University of Greenwich until an acceptable arrangement for the payment of fees has been agreed. If you require a visa to study in the UK you are expected to be able to fund the whole of your programme of study yourself, unless you have an official financial sponsor. An official financial sponsor is: Her Majesty’s Government, the student’s home government, the British Council, an international organisation, an international company, or university. You will be responsible for any fee payments not made by the sponsor.

It is important to note that you must have arranged your finance at the time of registration.  If, as outlined above, your fees are being paid by a sponsor, you need to have a written confirmation of this.  This confirmation should be sent to:

Bernadette Ranger

European School of Osteopathy

Admissions Department

Boxley House

Boxley, Maidstone

Kent, ME14 3DZ

United Kingdom

The letter must be on company headed paper and state the amount you are being sponsored for.  It should also provide invoicing details.  You should send this letter as soon as possible, so that we can have it approved by the University of Greenwich prior to your arrival in the UK. Please note that it is ultimately University of Greenwich who reserve the right to decide which international organisations or companies they will accept as financial sponsors.

Scholarships

The University of Greenwich automatically awards National Scholarships of £1,000 to students from certain eligible countries studying full time programmes that last for at least one academic year. You do not need to apply for scholarships as these are awarded by the university automatically to qualifying students.  Further information about UoG scholarships is available at http://www2.gre.ac.uk/students/international/international/finance/bursaries-scholarships
